Retention Manager and MOSS 2007

Does anyone have experience deploying the Retention Manager functionality within MOSS 2007? What are its capabilities and limitations from a records disposition perspective?

We are starting to use retention rules in SharePoint before the end of this year (2009). A lot of information to users have gone out, to avoid loosing information.
