Determining the structure of your documents is not only one of the most important factors to consider in successful data capture implementations, but perhaps one of the most difficult to get right. Read more .... http://www.aiim.org/infonomics/if-semistructured-why-fix-it.aspx

Latest and greatest article. I'm excited for the feedback on this one. Why document scanning will not be replaced by digital photographs!

Check out the new AIIM OCR Toolkit, I might be the biggest fan because I wrote it but think it really deliveries organizations value.

Another great article I must say. Check out my latest Infonomics article on document classification. Focus on classification is ever increasing as organization's come to understand that classification that is fast in accurate is one of the best ways to improve data capture efficiency and accuracy!

NEW Article! I had fun with this article sharing just a few of my thoughts about OCR technology future. What is in store for OCR technology, how is it effected by the vendor landscape? Compared to other advancing technologies we are clearly in a point of stagnation, and increase marked education and adoption, but in 5 years I think we can expect somethings new. Read it here http://www.aiim.org/infonomics/operation-ocr-rebirth.aspx

It's time for the latest article on OCR and Data Capture technology in Infonomics Weekly. In this latest article I discuss some lesser thought about techniques for optimizing the recognition results from your OCR engine for both full page and data capture level OCR. Enjoy!

Reminder to group attendees. The purpose of this group is education. Vendors, End-users, Resellers, not matter your involvement in technology, ECM technology, and here specifically OCR and data capture technology you benefit from general education. This is not the forum to blatantly advertise your product. Thank you.
