Large flatbed scanners?

Hello all,

I have a request for a very large flatbed scanner. Has anyone heard about a flatbed scanner with the dimensions of 1,5 Meter x 2,5 Meter?

Any input or alternative solutions is much appreciated.

The biggest scanners I know of aren't flatbed, but map/CAD scanners like the Contex HD5450. It scans to 54 inches (almost 1.5 meters). Are the candidate documents such that you must use a flatbed scanner?; ▶ Reply to This

I'm agreeing with David. You likely want to look for a map scanner. Check out BÖWE BELL + HOWELL and like vendors.

Permalink Reply by Lou on August 19, 2009 at 5:53pm: I work with the Contex HD5450 on a daily basis and have found that it has terrible problems with dust which gets caught on the scanner's glass and creates streaks of bright green, red, etc. pixels through the scanned image. If you are going to be scanning a quantity of items I do not recommend this product.; ▶ Reply to This
