The Financial Assistance and Health Care Documents Taxonomy (better known as the "FAHCDT" -- prounounced "fact") is now available! I've attached an overview. We encourage Minnesota counties to consider implementing the FAHCDT in their financial assistance and health care areas, although it is not at all mandatory at this point, we are moving towards more standardization in case files, and this is one way to start.

Thank you so much to everyone at the counties and DHS who helped us with this! Feel free to post any questions about the FAHCDT here.

I want to say a big thank you to everyone who worked on this project. Financial assistance and health care files transfer around the state so frequently that it will save staff time if we have more consistency in how these files are organized, imaged or not. This is the first step!

We soon hope to have the Thesauraus up and running too. This will be a great tool for helping organize case files, imaged or not.
